Ranch & Rodeo Horses
TM Stradivarius (call name: ‘Crewcab’)SOLD
AQHA # 4899520. 2005 black gelding (not a white hair to be found).
Sire: double-bred Two-Eyed Jack stallion Dam: own granddaughter of Mr San Peppy and Silver King.
As a coming 4-year-old, this gelding is now about 15.2 and weighs 1200 lbs. He’s big, stout, with “lots of tread on the ground”, heavy-boned, big round foot, kind eye, & clean throatlatch. GENTLE and easy to catch anywhere.
Crewcab was well started at 2-years-old with LOADS of ground work. He’s trained to stand in the round pen to pick up his feet and have them cleaned and be saddled without a halter.
Crewcab spent his whole 3-year-old summer on the mountain chasing cows, swimming the rivers, and hauling salt licks, fence posts, and whatever else our buckaroos could find to drag, rope, or chase. Needless to say Darius was the favorite mount. We know this because he came off the mountain with LOTS of miles on him.
Now Crewcab is in the third and final phase of training… in the arena. At the indoor arena, Crewcab is learning to stand quietly in the box and rate cattle. He should be roping the head soon. When I ask for an update report on Crewcab from our trainer he always remarks, “He sure is gentle.” For you ropers who are a little wide across the middle because you like biscuits and gravy, Crewcab will have no trouble carrying you. He’s big, GENTLE, and cowy and loves to meet at the gate with a halter in your hand.
His Dam (Contessa De Peppy) was my personal riding horse. I won $12,000+ on her in team penning and two big buckles in reining and reined cow events. She was so big I had to stand on a bucket to mount her. Crewcab was her last foal.
We liked Crewcab so much we purchased his sire “Fiddler” who will come to our ranch in 2010 to breed some of our mares.
Crewcab won’t be cheap but he will be a horse you’ll want to keep forever. Shoes, loads, hauls, bathes… without a fight.
Guaranteed sound in every way.

TM Frosted Diamond (call name: “Frosty”) AQHA 5048862 2006 cherry red sorrel gelding with LOTS of roan hairs SOLD Congratulations to Gerald King Wales, UT
Sire: Jesse James, Two Eyed Jack, Doc Bar stallion Dam: own granddaughter of Jackie Bee out of granddaughter of Sugar Bars Frosty was the star of the show at a colt starting clinic.
Like Crewcab, he is dog gentle and easy to catch anywhere. Frosty was well started in the spring with same trainer and ground work as Crewcab. He’s not as big a Crewcab but should mature to about 15.1 and about 1200 lbs. His dam is a heavy milker.
Frosty is trained to stand in the round pen without a halter to pick up his feet for cleaning and be saddled.
Frosty shows lots of cow and if not sold will be headed on the mountain for the summer chasing cows, swimming the rivers, and hauling salt licks, and fence posts. Frosty loads, hauls, and bathes easily.
Guaranteed sound in every way. I have posted a couple of his yearling photos and will post current photos of him in his frosted winter coat soon. He has a gorgeous head and big hip, kind eye, star in his forehead, and a nice big round foot with lots of bone. We like his full sister so much we’re keeping her as one of our replacement mares. Remember the price will increase as training continues.

Busters Rawhide Rio (call name: “Buster”)
AQHA# 3784582 1999 red dun gelding
Sire: Our Jesse James, Two Eyed Jack, King Fritz, Doc Bar stallion. Dam: double-bred Skipper W.
Buster, ever the clown is broke, broke, broke. He’s always the first to meet you at the gate whether in a 30-acre pasture or paddock. He loves people, has a great sense of humor and is ‘Houdini’ when it comes to gates. You MUST keep double latches on all gates where Buster is located. He will open the gate and lead all to mares to your backdoor or haystack.
Good rein, nice stops, easy collected lopes and quiet backups. He’s been on the mountain pushing cattle, through the river, over deadfall, in the arena, and at the auction yard. He’s been there, done that, seen it all, and been “dolled up” by the kids and grandkids with more bows in his mane and tail than you can find at a beauty parlor. Buster loved every minute of all the attention and pampering.
For all you cowboys, Buster has a big motor and will be there, day after day, moving cattle, fixing fences, or trail riding then babysit the kids or grandkids after a full day’s work. He has a gorgeous head, nice soft eye, big hip, good bone, and big foot. He’s never taken a lame step. He’s a big 15.2 and weighs 1200 lbs.
These photos posted of him without a saddle were taken when he was only a long yearling. He’s been on the Antelope Island Bison Roundup for two years. He’s real pleasing to the eye to look at and turns lots of heads.
Loads, hauls, bathes, shoes with no problems. Guaranteed sound in every way. I’ll post more photos of him in his winter coat soon. We have owned Buster’s sire “Clancy” since he was two years old. When the opportunity came to purchase Buster as a weanling we jumped at the chance. He has been a real asset to our bank of good broke geldings. But we have more coming through the pipeline so Buster can go make another family happy. $8500 (SOLD – Congratulations to the Kevin Tominey and family in South Jordan, UT).

TM Chico Pirate AQHA X0673220 Grandson of SW and TOP Sire Corona Cartel
and Maternal grandson of SW TB stallion Pirate At Forty.
Chico will have speed to burn and should watch a cow or hunt barrels. His maternal grand dam has Doc Bar, Cutter Bill, Mr Gunsmoke and King Fritz right on her papers. She is our BEST mare. Chico is ready for the track at Sunland Park and will be in the capable hands of the Munoz Brothers for the next few months. He was easy to start and quick. He does have a thing about his tongue…he loves to stick it out.
